The NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) is the largest civil rights organization in the United States and strives to ensure that all people are represented and have equal rights in American society and culture, regardless of race. The group works via advocacy, education, and research, and it publishes the magazine Crisis. It registers African Americans to vote, encourages academic achievement among high school students, and works to promote education.

This organization works to bring equality to almost every state in the United States and to brush out the discriminations in the U.S. states.  There is a branch of the NAACP in almost every state in the United States and in these states the NAACP works for less discrimination in every aspect of life.  The primary purpose of the NAACP is to ensure political, educational, social, and economic equality for minority groups in the United States.  The NAACP presently ensures equality for all minorities and holds beneficial programs such as career fairs to aid the groups in finding work.  Other programs such as Financial Empowerment Initiative, Armed Services and Veteran’s Affairs, Health, Labor, Religious Affairs, and Voter Empowerment also contribute in aiding the minority groups.

"Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle. And so we must straighten our backs and work for our freedom. A man can't ride you unless your back is bent."
